The Chief of the Jema Traditional Area and Nkoranza Traditional Council, Nana Amponsah Gyan bestowed the honorary title to Dr Bawumia during his 2-day campaign tour of the Bono East Region.

Speaking to the Chiefs and townspeople of the community, Dr Bawumia thanked Nana Amponsah Gyan for the love and support shown him.
He further asked for the community's support and votes in the coming elections in order for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to continue the good works started in President Akufo-Addo's first administration.

"It is time to honour the president and the vice president. I know if you help them, they shall also assist the community in return," he stated.
