President Akufo-Addo is optimistic of victory in the upcoming elections.
The President, while wrapping up his campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region, accused his opponent, former President John Dramani Mahama of resorting to a campaign of lies and fabrications because he has no legacy to defend.
"Mahama has no record that's why Ghanaians voted him out of office. His campaign of fabrications, misrepresentations and outright lies is crumbling by the day into confusion and failure," the President said.
At a rally at East Legon in the Ayawaso West Wuoguon Constituency to canvass support for his second term bid, the President charged sympathisers of the NPP especially in the Greater Accra region to ensure that the party achieves its target of winning 28 out of the 33 seats of the region in Parliament.
He also asked for Ghanaians to maintain him in office for another term in order to complete the works he's started.
He completed his campaign tour of the Greater Accra region Thursday and is expected to continue with a tour of the Central Region.
Meanwhile, the country will be heading for the polls in 11 days.
