First Deputy Speaker of Parliament has taken a swipe at numerous surveys predicting run-off for December 7 elections.
Joseph Osei Owusu said evidence on the ground supports one-touch victory for President Akufo-Addo despite those predictions.
He told JoyNews President Akufo-Addo will win 53 per cent of the votes.
Governance Research Bureau and iPoll surveys have predicted runoff of 2020 Presidential elections.
It comes as another survey by Political Science Department of University of Ghana had predicted one-touch victory for President Akufo-Addo.
But the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament has taken a swipe at the polls predicting a runoff.
Joe Osei Owusu told JoyNews there is enough evidence that supports a one-touch win for Akufo-Addo.
"I am confident we will one touch. I have seen and read about those that gave NPP between 50.2 to 52 per cent," he said.
"When it comes to polls and data, it depends on where you do it but the evidence on the ground I am convinced is that Nana Akufo-Addo will win about 53% of this elections," he added.
Mr Osei Owusu is promising emphatic victory for the New Patriotic Party in both Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
According to him, the party has done enough from infrastructural development to the provision of free senior high school to win votes of Ghanaians.
"The general project; Free SHS affects everybody and as I move around the constituency, the response to that program is massive.
"Also, physical infrastructure projects like roads that have not seen rehabilitation for 70-years are now been reconstructed. Practically, every nook and cranny has now been tarred.
"Some central part is also being asphalted. Bekwai Hospital which has been abandoned for 50-years or more; now it has been completed.
"In addition to that, we have constructed many classroom blocks and nurseries," he said.
The First Deputy Speaker who is also the Member of Parliament for Bekwai faces stiffer opposition from an independent parliamentary candidate.
Political pundits believe the presence of a failed NPP parliamentary aspirant, Kwasi Amofa Agyemang could scuttle the party's votes.
But Mr Osei Owusu is unfazed about the threat from the independent parliamentary candidate.
"In every election, we win between 85 and 89 per cent. This year, the evidence is clear. People say I have never voted NPP but this year I will vote NPP. Those kinds of evidence that will give me assurance that we will exceed our target".
Mr Amofa, onetime NPP parliamentary aspirant for Bekwai was disqualified by executives of the party after going through vetting.
But Mr Osei Owusu dismissed assertions he is a member of the NPP to qualify for "one of their own" tag.
"It is you people in the media that have created one of your own. The person claiming to be NPP is not known in this constituency," he said.
"He's not voted in this constituency since 2000; that's according to him. Just that you applied to contest in a party's ticket does not make you one of their own," he added.
