Eight persons sustained gunshots wounds at Asesewa in the Eastern Region during a rubbery attack near the Asesewa Senior High School.
The armed men numbering about four robbed a mobile money vendor of his all money amidst sporadic gunshots.

They succeeded in making away with an unspecified amount of money.
Eight persons sustained gunshots wounds in the process and are receiving treatment at the Asesewa Government Hospital.

The robbers bolted with the cash before the police arrived at the scene.

The victims include Akabuatse Victor, 59; Cofi Esther, 22; Tetteh Stephen, 36; Ebenezer Kwao, 22; Faustina Anani, 29; Gifty Akaboatse, 14, Tetteh Belinda, 18, with Judith Degbor in critical condition.

The police retrieved Six BB empty cartridge at the scene.

Deputy Public Relations Officer for the Eastern Regional Police Command Francis Gomado who confirmed the incident said they are investigating the issue.
