Six persons have been reported dead in a gruesome road accident at Mpaha Junction in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region.
According to available information, five other people were also left critically wounded and are receiving treatment at the Holistic Medicare Health Facility in Buipe.
Giving details, the Savannah Regional Fire Commander, Kwasi Baffour-Awuah, said the service received a distress call and rushed to the scene.

He explained that eyewitnesses revealed that a Sprinter bus traveling from Kumasi to Tamale and a Rhino truck with registration number GN5316-13 heading from Tamale collided at the Mpaha junction.
According to him, the bodies of the victims have been placed at the Tamale Teaching Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
The commander expressed regret at the lack of rescue equipment in the community.
