Nigerian musician and entrepreneur, Peter Okoye popularly known as Mr. P has waded into the ongoing debate between some Ghanaian celebrities and the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) over a ban placed on the advertisement of alcoholic beverages.
Speaking on EVIBES with Becky, the Musician said he does not have any problem with FDA banning celebrities from advertising alcoholic products.
According to Mr. P, he is a law-abiding citizen and therefore respects the law.
“Every country has its laws; I can speak for myself back home in Nigeria. I will respect the rule of law. I cannot say anything beyond that.
"The only way I am going to be affected is when they say only male artiste can or only females can but for now, we are all law-abiding citizens. So since it is general, I don’t have any problem with it,” Mr. P explained.
In December 2020, Mr P announced the expansion of his empire to include a wine company, “Aphro Palm Spirit'.
The award-winning musician also partnered Ghanaian businessman and entrepreneur Charles Kojo Bucknor and some seven other personalities to run the wine company.
