A former spokesperson for John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawa Mogtari has admonished women in abusive relationships not to be afraid to seek help.
Speaking on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show Friday, she indicated that no matter how small the assault may be, victims need to open up to at least one confidante.
“We ought to state without equivocation that anybody in any space where there is any type of violence; emotional, physical or otherwise should seek help from the nearest person.
“If you try on one door and it doesn’t open, the next one just might but please, please get help,” she said.
Conversations surrounding domestic violence have been revived after two women within one week allegedly died as a result of domestic violence.
