Two fuel pump attendants are in critical condition after armed robbers shot at a filling station on the Gomoa Ojobi-Senya Bereku road in the Central Region.
The incident which happened between Gomoa Anopa-Nsu and Bonsuoko in the Gomoa East District saw the suspected criminals attack the Siigo Filling Station.
According to reports, the robbers had approached the facility under the pretence of purchasing fuel at about 11 pm on Wednesday night.
After being lured out of their room, the attendants were attacked, with 21-year-old Michael Entsie and Siita Jibril, 30, sustaining various degrees of injury.
The victims said the robbers further tied them up and made away with an undisclosed amount of money and their mobile phones.
"They really beat me. They tied me with my shirt. I was lying down and they brought Sulley. Shortly after, the police arrived so they run away," one of the victims told Adom News' Kofi Adu.
The duo were rushed to Hope Christian Hospital at Gomoa Fetteh Hope of Christian Hospital where they are receiving treatment.
The Central Region police is yet to publicly comment on the matter and extent of investigations.
