In a metaphorical twist, Anglican priest Reverend Akua Ofori-Boateng has redefined the meaning of the Nigerian hit song 'Case' by Teni during a sermon to congregants in her parish.
Most of the hit songs we enjoy, be it secular or gospel, have varied meanings based on the background stories, the life of the artiste, the life experiences or mood of whoever is doing the listening, and so much more.
In her sermon, Rev. Akua expounded a powerful statement for Teni's "CASE" song by explaining the lengths God will go for His own creation, just as Teni did for her supposed lover in the song.
Rev. Akua Ofori-Boateng painted a clear picture of God's love within the context of Teni's "Case" song by singing along with the church's choir and explaining every line in that song, how it alludes to scripture and shared supporting verses from the Bible to drum home the real impact of her exposition of the song to congregants.
Talk of spreading the Gospel to every corner of this earth; this is one sure way of getting the attention of both churchgoers and those who are mostly tagged as being "of the world" to experience the love of God in a more realistic, fun and captivating dimension.
