President Akufo-Addo has appointed Samuel Kofi Dzamesi as the new Chief Executive of Bui Power Authority (BPA).
Mr. Dzamesi who is the immediate past Minister of Chieftaincy replaces Fred Oware.
In a statement by Bui Power Authority, Mr. Oware described his successor as a man of integrity, a reliable person, a team player, and someone who sticks to his word.
He also described him as highly creative and innovative, urging management and staff of BPA to offer Mr. Dzamesi the same support, enthusiasm, and courtesies that he had received over the past four and half years.
Addressing management and staff of the authority, Mr Dzamesi thanked the out-going Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Fred Oware.
He said, “I am confident that the support given to my predecessor would be extended to me as Chief Executive Officer, to execute the vision of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to make BPA, the Leader in Renewable Energy in the country”.
It would be recalled that in 2020, the BPA Act was amended (Bui Power Authority Amendment Act, 2020 (Act 1046)) giving BPA additional mandate to implement renewable and other clean energy options on behalf of the state.
