President Akufo-Addo has stated that his priority is to ensure that the country is rid of corruption.
Reassuring Ghanaians during a meeting with the Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition at the Jubilee House, he revealed that his government had invested more resources in the state’s anti-corruption agencies than any other administration in the country’s history, hence would ensure those investments do not come to nothing.
Today on Newsfile, host, Samson Lardy Anyenini interacted with his panelists to assess the incumbent government's fight against the canker and what more can be done to assist the government.
Recently, the Auditor General in his report disclosed that the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) registered a total loss of $11.79 million from the liquidation of three of its investments with a total cash outlay of $14.768 million.

Meanwhile, the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has been indicted by the Internal Audit Agency for entering into five significant international business contracts totaling $34,165,235.15 and £464,963.13 without Parliamentary approval.
But the GNPC has debunked the claims of breach of public procurement law.
