The Board of Scancom PLC (MTN Ghana) has appointed Mrs Antoinette Kwofie as its first-ever female Chief Finance Officer (CFO).
Mrs Kwofie is also the first Ghanaian to ever occupy such position. She commenced work in such capacity according to the board on October 1.
Mrs Antoinette Kwofie current position comes as no new obligation to her. For over eight years, she served as the Chief Finance Officer for Absa Bank from 2013.
She has served as Finance Business Partner, Head of Business Performance and Analytics and Financial Controller after joining the bank in 2007.
Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, Selorm Adadevoh, on his part, noted the willingness of the staff to work with Mrs Kwofie to ensure the consistent growth of MTN Ghana.
“I welcome Antoinette to the Y’ello family. She is the first female and the first Ghanaian to head the Finance Division of MTN Ghana. We look forward to working with her as we focus on building a platform business as part of our Ambition 2025 strategy to accelerate growth and unlock value in the coming years," he said.
Antoinette is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK.
Also, she is an alumnus of the University of Ghana where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics.
