On Sunday, November 7, 2021, over 4,000 residents of the Ketu Municipality were displaced and left in despair when they woke up to their homes and properties, worth thousands of Ghana cedis having been washed away by tidal waves.
Communities such as Abutiakope, Kedzikope, and Keta Central were largely affected to the extent that residents had nothing to salvage.
In Anloga, residents of Dzita, Agbledomi, Atiteti, Agokedzi, and Fuveme were also displaced by the fierce tidal waves that swept through the communities during the wee hours of Sunday, November 7.
Residents are appealing to the general public for support.
Today on The Probe, host Emefa Apawu will be discussing 'preventing the devastating dawn visitor from wreaking further havoc' with her guests; Deputy Director of National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Seji Saji Amedonu, MP for the area, Dzifa Gomashie, the Volta Regional Minster, Dr Archibald Letsa, and Mawuko Afadzinu, Coordinator, Tidal Wave Fund.
Don't miss out.
