The Tafo-Pankrono Municipal Chief Executive has advised people living within Zongo communities to rally together in pursuing peace and unity.
Lord Inusah Lansah says tolerance is the way to avoid unnecessary conflicts.
He is convinced such a step will bring people together despite their tribes, beliefs, political affiliations among others.
Mr. Lansah was speaking at an event to enskin sub-chiefs for the Gonja community.
Five sub-chiefs including the chairman of Gonjas in the Old Tafo/Pankrono municipality. They are Abdul Rahman Saeed (Mmbrantiewura) Sarki samari Gonja, Alhassan Abubakar Jakpa (lambowura) Sarki faada, Abdullah Saeed (Afuli) Waziri and Dr Yakubu Ibrahim Achulo (Chairman of Gonja).
Mr. Lansah believes the enskinment of chiefs will help duty bearers, and the youth to interact and plan towards solving societal problems.
"I'm very happy we are witnessing this ceremony here today, I always expect us to have that spirit of oneness and togetherness, devoid of conflicts, let's tolerate each other. I'm so happy seeing all sorts of tribes here tolerating each other today, so let's drum home the message such that we can always tolerate one another regardless of the tribe, regardless of the political party, so that we always have peace wherever we find ourselves," he said.
The MCE further calls on the Zongo communities to accord him all the support to work relentlessly in addressing their pressing needs.
Member of the NDC, Evans Amankwaa commends the Gonja Chiefs for engaging young people to be among the traditional setup.
He is convinced the step is in the right direction in maintaining peace and unity in the community, especially among the youth.
"For the positions, they've been given now, they will serve as role models, a lot of people will look up onto them, so they should use this position to educate the youth in maintaining peace in their communities, that is the best thing they can do for their community as young people," he indicated.
Lawyer Amankwaa admonished the Zongo communities to allow peace to prevail for development to thrive.
