A one-day sensitization workshop has been held for faith leaders in Agotime Ziope and the Ghana Education Service (GES) by the World Vision Ghana.
The workshop was aimed at introducing new interventions by the World Vision in education to the stakeholders. It drew participation from 56 faith leaders in 20 communities on Wednesday.
Participants were introduced to the Unlock Literacy model. The model seeks to improve reading among early grade readers.

World Vision started operations in Agotime Ziope and is hopeful of empowering all in the district on issues of gender, education and sanitation.
Their entry projects are education and WASH with sponsorship under pinning their work
World Vision Programme Manager, Salomey Yeboah, noted that despite the organisation's commitment to assist the communities, the project will require the commitment of members of the communities.
She therefore urged all participants to work hard to improve reading among the children. Beneficiaries of the workshop commended World Vision for prioritizing reading.
World Vision is a Christian organisation operating in area of education, WASH, food security and child protection.
