A lifeless body of a 58-year-old man was retrieved from River Wakoa at Abesim in the Bono Region on Tuesday, February 15.
The deceased has been identified as Pascal Moro. The cause of death is yet to be established.
He is believed to be a Burkinabe who has lived in Ghana for the past three years.
An eyewitness told AdomNews he chanced upon the lifeless body on Tuesday morning when he went to the river to fetch water.
Prophet Nicodemus Boampong noted that upon seeing the lifeless body, he called the Police who then arrived to carry it away.
According to him, it was later that he identified the deceased as his co-tenant, who he had not seen since Monday night.
He told the media a sponge, towel, soap and a bucket were found at the scene.
The prophet further revealed that the deceased is known to be a drunkard, therefore, suspects that Pascal fell into the river whiles drunk.
