Hundreds of mourners gathered at the hometown of the late Mrs. Dzifa Aku Attivor, a former Minister of Transport during the John Dramani Mahama administration, to pay their final respects.
People from all walks of life, including members of the various political parties, diplomats, former colleagues of the Global FM and Volta One TV, as well as sympathizers graced the final funeral rites of the late Minister of state.
The late Dzifa Aku Attivor was described as a virtuous woman with a heart of gold, who loved and cared for everyone she came into contact with.

Former President John Dramani Mahama described her as a wonderful leader who contributed to development during her service to the country as the Transportation Minister.

The EP Church recounted how instrumental she was in the works of the Lord. They prayed for her eternal repose. Residents also lamented their great loss.

Most hit by this tragic incident were her three children, who described their mother as the kindest, most affectionate and strong-willed woman they had ever come across.
The three are Esinam Attivor Kpodo, Zena and Selorm Attivor.

According to them, the death of Dzifa Attivor has brought so much sorrow to their hearts. They recounted how she raised them in the Lord and the need to show love to all.
"We are broken by the demise of our loving and kind mother but we know she is in heaven and we will forever love her," they said while wailing.

Madam Attivor died in the early hours of Tuesday, November 16, after a short illness.
She is said to have been visiting the hospital for treatment for a period of time, before her demise. She served as a Transport Minister between February, 2013 and resigned in December, 2015.
