Security Analyst, Dr. Adam Bonaa has implored the youth of Nkoranza to halt the rampage in their demand for justice in relation to the death of 28-year-old trader, Albert Donkor who was allegedly killed while in Police custody.
The youth of Nkoranza in the Bono East Region went on rampage on Tuesday as they attacked the Municipal Police headquarters demanding justice for their deceased friend.

They freed six other suspects picked up by the Police as armed robbers together with the deceased and went on to destroy the vehicles parked at the Municipal Police headquarters.
Speaking in an interview on JoyNews' The Pulse on Tuesday, Dr. Bonaa urged the youth to stop the rampage.
“Albert has already lost his life and obviously, we are all aware that investigations will be conducted. They have demonstrated enough,” he said.
For this reason, he asked the youth to “allow the Police, REGSEC and those clothed with power to peacefully conduct this investigation to ensure that the justice they are seeking for Albert, they get it for him."
According to him, if the youth persists with the rampage, “and they are not careful, more lives would be lost.”
Dr. Bonaa further advised the youth to refrain from provoking the security agencies since doing so could have serious consequences.
He, therefore, called on the leadership of the Nkoranza Youth Association to lay down the tools used in the destruction since it will go a long way to affect them.
“Stop burning tyres on the streets because these streets when you do that you destroy the tarred road, so they shouldn’t do that because it is for them,” he pleaded.
He also encouraged the authorities to undertake a prompt inquiry into the incident to determine what exactly occurred.
Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. Akuffo Dampare has ordered the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) to investigate the death of Albert Donkor.
In a press statement by the Police on Tuesday, Director-General of Public Affairs, DCOP Kwasi Ofori said, the IGP “spoke with the family [of the deceased] on the telephone and has constituted a high-powered delegation led by COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, the Director-General/Administration to visit Nkoranza tomorrow [Wednesday], for further engagement with all stakeholders.”
The Police have urged the public to avoid unfounded speculations which have the potential to prejudice the outcome of the investigation.
