Thomas Partey withdrawing from the Black Stars' line-up to face Brazil at the last minute was a precautionary measure by the technical team, Joy Sports understands.
The Arsenal star was named in the initial starting XI to face the Selecao on Friday night in Le Havre but had to be withdrawn with Baba Iddrisu replacing him.
Partey was said to have picked up a knock during the final warm-up for the game and had to make way for the Mallorca midfielder.
Having just returned from injury to play his first game for Arsenal last weekend, Partey's withdrawal raised a lot of questions over his fitness ahead of the next game on Tuesday against Nicaragua.
However, a member of the medical team calmed fears around the player's well-being and confirmed to Joy Sports the 29-year-old should be ready for the next game.
The Black Stars went ahead to lose the game with a 3-0 score, their fifth against Brazil and the fourth consecutive time they have failed to score against the Selecao.
