Hundreds of residents of Ketu South have taken to the streets demonstrating against the operations of a salt-mining company in the area.
The facility in question, Seven Seas Salt Company is an Indian company located in Adina.

According to the residents, the operations of the company have caused so much havoc in the municipality, including the loss of lives.
A middle-aged woman and her three young children died due the the dykes allegedly owned by the company.

The demonstrators noted that not less than 10 people have died from the facility this year alone.

On the back of this, the angry protestors clad in red attire paraded the streets of the area amid chants to drum home their displeasure.

Municipal Chief Executive for Ketu South, Maxwell Lukudor, however, assured the demonstrators of government's commitment to making sure that their grievances are addressed as soon as possible.
