Should Ghana take locally-based players to Qatar to profit from Fifa Benefits Programme?

As part of the FIFA Benefits Programme, clubs that will have their players called up for the 2022 World Cup will receive $10,000 per player for every day at the tournament.

Between the period which the competition starts, November 20, to the end of the group stages, December 2, will be at least 12 days, which means a club could receive at least $120,000 per player.

With this initiative, some Ghanaians have argued it could be a source of funding for some of the local clubs, especially Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, who could have representatives in Otto Addo's squad to be taken to the Munidla to be staged in Qatar.
