The Coalition Of Ex-Staff Of Collapsed Fund Management Companies (FMCs) is appealing to the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori- Atta and his agencies to release funds to the Official Liquidator to pay them immediately to alleviate the hunger and long suffering.
In a statement, it said November 08, 2022 marks exactly three years since they lost their employments as a result of the revocation of licenses of former employers-Fund Management Companies (FMCs).
However, as of today, not a single ex-staff of the FMCs have been paid their outstanding salary arrears and severance package.
“November 08, 2022 (yesterday) marks exactly 3 years since we lost our employments as a result of the revocation of licenses of our former employers-Fund Management Companies (FMCs).”
“As of today, not a single ex-staff of the FMCs have been paid, the outstanding salary arrears, negotiated and signed for severance package, SSNIT outstanding arrears, Tier 2 and 3 contributions arrears. It must be noted that, these outstanding arrears are continuously losing their time
values”, it stressed.
“We are by this release appealing to the Minister of Finance (Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta) and his agencies to release funds to the Official Liquidator to pay us immediately to alleviate our hunger and long suffering”, it added.
Furthermore, they threatened to embark on a massive demonstration on the principal streets of Accra, picketing at the Ministry of Finance if they are not paid in one week from the release of the statement on November 9, 2022.
