Vice President, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, is still assuring Ghanaians of positive prospects in the future amid the hardship.
The economist insists that all is not lost just yet as far as the economic turmoil is concerned while quoting biblical references to convey his message.
"As children of God, there will always be moments of hopelessness, despair, doubt, fear and uncertainty but our hope in God is always our source of strength and the motivation in these periods,” he said on Sunday.
The Vice President made these comments at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Tema Community 1.
Ghana is currently at the doors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a possible $3 billion bailout amid intensifying hardship, skyrocketing fuel prices, a rising cost of living and a depreciating cedi.
Ghanaians are reeling under this condition calling for a pragmatic solution. The Minority MPs insist that Ken Ofori-Atta, in this regard, has lost his grip on the country’s economy and must be axed.
Some of the blame has also been placed on the doors of the Economic Management Team (EMT) led by Dr Bawumia.
Amid all these, the Vice President seems to see light at the end of the tunnel.
Acknowledging the gravity of the country's financial predicament, he said the administration is poised adding that "with renewed strength and hope in the word of the Lord, we are forever confident that we will ride this storm and turn things around to the glory of our Lord."
He was at addressed the congregation at the 70th-anniversary celebration of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.
