Playback: Minority raises concerns about 2023 budget, Domestic Debt Exchange amid crisis

The Minority in Parliament is concerned about the government’s latest move regarding the ongoing financial crisis.

The Domestic Debt Exchange programme announced by the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta will not be the panacea to the current economic woes, according to the Minority.

Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu insists that this development, coupled with a lack of convincing proposals does not inspire confidence in the Akufo-Addo-led administration.

Additionally, the 2023 budget, Mr Iddrisu believes, is fraught with needless taxation which does not augur well for the citizens.

The prioritization of the controversial National Cathedral in the budget statement despite the financial downturn worries the legislator.
