The family of a 35-year-old herdsman suspected to have been murdered has appealed to the Chief Justice (CJ), Kwasi Anin-Yeboah to preside over the case of their kinsman.
Seven suspects are currently standing trial at the Tamale High Court in Northern Region for the alleged murder of Ibrahim Jolo Osman.
According to the family, they have faith in the judiciary system - saying that, should the Chief Justice take charge of the case, justice will be served.
"The case is no more here in Bole but we trust that if the big Lawyer [Chief Justice] in Accra steps in, we will get justice for our brother's soul", the family’s spokesperson, Alhaji Ibrahim Umoro said.

They made the appeal in an interview with JoyNews on Tuesday during a family gathering at Bole in the Savannah Region.
It will be recalled that on Monday, December 26, 2022, the deceased [Ibrahim Jolo Osman] was attacked at Kiape Sonyo, a suburb of Bole district by unidentified armed men upon his return from his farm.
The deceased was then rushed to the Bole Hospital and was then referred to the Wenchi Hospital where he died and was subsequently buried.

A complaint was lodged at the Bole District Police Command on January 24, 2023, which led to the arrest of seven suspects from their hideouts.
The suspects were arraigned before the Bole Magistrate and charged with three counts of attempted murder (when the deceased was still alive), possession of illegal firearms and stealing.
The family also alleged that, apart from shooting the deceased, "these people [accused] also killed some of the cattle and carried the meat away in tricycles", Alhaji Ibrahim Umaro explained.

However, the family’s spokesperson who is also the elder brother of the deceased said the incident has since mounted unwarranted fears in herdsmen and their families.
"As a result of this case, all of us (herdsmen) are not at peace in Bole district. We are hot and afraid of our lives including our cows. Now, our Alhaji Ibrahim Jolo is dead and about 27 cattle that scattered during the shooting, are missing and still in the bush but we are afraid to go look for them because anything can happen to us too".
The deceased left behind two wives and 10 children.
