Twin brothers have allegedly stabbed their friend at a pub in Berekum, located in the Bono Region.
The incident resulted in the death of 16-year-old Alhassan Sulemana.
Reportedly, the duo fled the scene following the incident, which occurred on Saturday night. According to residents, it all began as a misunderstanding between Alhassan and the twins, Farouk and Harus.
An eyewitness named Mohammed Sofian, who was present at the pub, stated that he heard loud shouts and went to investigate.
Upon arrival, he found Alhassan and the twins engaged in a heated exchange. Mohammed warned them to stop and left the scene.
However, he heard more noise later and returned to find that the deceased had been stabbed by the twins using a pair of scissors.
Alhassan was pronounced dead upon arrival at Berekum Holy Family Hospital.
Meanwhile, the twins, Farouk and Harus, are still at large.
Safia Sulemana, the mother of the deceased, expresses her disbelief at her son's death, as he and the twins were close friends. She cannot understand why the boys would commit such a heinous act against her son.
The deceased's brother has reported the case to the police for investigation.
