A number of Ghanaian musicians have been quite busy over the past few months, working hard to churn out records that will leave lasting impressions on the minds of music fans.
Among the list of artistes who are readying the release of their songs to climax the month of July are Afrobeat star KiDi, Gospel Musicians Maureen Biniyam and Perez Musik, as well as rappers Strongman and Amerado.
Below are some songs you can expect this week.
1. KiDi - Likor
After a brief hiatus linked to ill-health, the Lynx signee made a return with a single, I Lied, which he eventually went ahead to perform at this year’s VGMA, as a surprise act. KiDi is following up with the release of another single titled Likor which features Afrodancehall artiste Stonebwoy.

Likor is set for release on Thursday, July 27, 2023.
2. Maureen Biniyam – Hallelujah
The American-based Ghanaian gospel minister is making a return with Hallelujah, after the release of her last single, W’ayem Ye in September 2022. Hallelujah is a song which she says was borne out of her “understanding and personal experience that when Christians lift up a hallelujah to the Lord even in unpleasant situations, the Supernatural happens to move things in our favour”. The song is expected to inspire and motivate Christians to keep a cool head and maintain their faith in God even in the face of life’s adversities.
Hallelujah is set for release on streaming platforms on Friday, July 28, 2023.
3. Perez Musik – Walatse (Life Giver)
Perez Musik has established himself as a breath of fresh air in the gospel music fraternity, while maintaining a cordial relationship with his seniors. It’s been a good run since his emergency unto the music space. His last record, Mibobaahe, is still topping charts and doing well across many platforms. Prior to that, his song, Fresh Fire had become a go-to worship song for many, thus many are looking forward Walatse, which is a Ga word for ‘Life Giver’.
The song which is set for release on Friday, July 25, is based on Genesis 2:7, “then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being”.
4. Strongman and Amerado – Young and Strong (EP)
Just last week, these two artistes, Amerado and Strongman, who both have ‘Burner’ as part of their names, joined forces and lit the eyes of rap fans with ‘Rap is still Alive’. Many described the song as refreshing, while others said it was good to see the two working on a project without being triggered by a ‘beef song’. Little did we expect that the announcement of an EP would follow days later. This is touted to be a captivating and explosive hiphop collaboration woven with mind-blowing storytelling, great delivery, humor, and exceptional wordplay.
Thanks for making ‘Rap Is Still Alive’ your number one song on YouTube.
