Noah Lyles completed a sensational sprint double as he raced to gold in the men's 200m race at the 2023 World Athletics Championships on Friday.
Lyles finished in 19.52 seconds, followed by Erriyon Knighton (19.75) and Botswana's Letsile Tebogo (19.81).
Lyles, whose personal best is 19.31 seconds, was aiming for Bolt's world record of 19.19 seconds.
Lyles is the only sprinter to have won three world 200m titles, joining Bolt and Allyson Felix.
Lyles is expected to compete in the US men's 4x100m relay on Saturday where he could become the first athlete since Bolt in 2015 to win three gold medals at the World Championships.
