The vice president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Mark Addo has called on Ghanaians to throw their weight behind the Black Stars ahead of their final 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.
Ghana will face the Central African Republic (CAR) on Thursday, September 7, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium hoping to secure a ticket for the 2023 AFCON to be staged in Ivory Coast.
Chris Hughton's side commands a one-point lead at the top of the table in Group E above Angola while CAR are two points behind the Black Stars.
Ahead of the game, Addo has called on support from Ghanaians for the team.
"I expect that we all go and support [the team] in our numbers," he told Joy Sports.
"Kumasi is our favourite place to play and I am praying and hoping that we come in our numbers and colours so that we can bring joy and smiles to the faces of the people."
The Black Stars need just a draw to secure qualification to the tournament while opponents the Central Africa Republic would need a win to book a place from Group E.
Thursday's game is scheduled to be played at 16:00 GMT.
