The Food and Beverages Association of Ghana has revealed the excessively steep indirect taxes and levies imposed on essential goods for Ghanaian consumers. In a press release issued by the association, it was disclosed that consumers are bearing the burden of up to a 100% increase in the prices of certain items due to various government-imposed taxes. The statement offers numerous instances highlighting the alarming price inflation directly caused by these taxes.
