The Bible Society of Ghana has announced a week-long celebration of the Bible’s enduring power to illuminate peace, unity and development.
This initiative is to mark the 2024 Bible Week Celebration, to celebrate the Bible and explore its potential to ensure a peaceful, united and prosperous nation, post-elections.
According to BSG, this year’s celebration invites all Christians in Ghana regardless of denomination to “explore the transformative power of the Bible as we prepare for our Presidential and Parliamentary Elections this year.”
It added the event will encourage Ghanaians to individually embrace the Bibles teachings’ on living at peace with one another especially in this election year.
The celebration will be held under the theme, "The Bible: Guide for Peace, Unity & Development."
Programmes to mark the week-long celebration are;
• Talk: Bible Work in Ghana
• Bible Reading Marathon │Bible Quiz Challenge │ Bible Choreo-poetry
• Talk │Symposium │Bible Study │Open Forum on the Theme
• Youth Forum (Drama or Debate) │ Movie Night │Bible Walk
• Choral Music │Worship Experience │Prayer Time for the Nation
• Bible Sunday and Thanksgiving Service │Appreciation Service
Meanwhile, the BSG will be making Bibles readily available at various churches at affordable prices.
