The Dompoasehene, Okofo Kwabena Bonsu II in the Adansi South District, has issued a warning to encroachers, urging them to refrain from occupying the Apagya SHS land and instead support the school's development.
This announcement was made during the school's inaugural matriculation and the naming ceremony of the dormitory blocks at Apagya in the Ashanti Region.
In an interaction with Adom News correspondent Isaac K. Normanyo, the traditional leader advised students to focus on their education, emphasizing that they all have the potential to become future leaders.

On another note, Nana decreed that anyone with issues related to the school, such as property or land disputes, should consider relinquishing them for the school's growth and their own benefit. The traditional leader assured that he would oversee the resolution of all conflicts.
The school's headmaster, Michael Nti, revealed that the first-year student population is over 300, and they will undergo matriculation followed by the naming of the dormitories. However, he expressed concern about community members engaging in agribusiness during school hours, hindering the school's growth.
He also highlighted challenges such as a lack of restroom facilities, dusty classrooms, and the absence of a school bus.
Ashanti Regional Free SHS Coordinator, Charles Owusu Brobbey who represented the Education Minister, noted that the school's population has doubled from 300 to 600. He announced plans to introduce STEM education, emphasized the need for fencing to enhance security, and mentioned arrangements for computer installation in the school.
