Member of Parliament of North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has described the current state of Ghana Football as a "mess" and fully backs the "SaveGhanaFootball" demonstration which is underway.
The protest is to create awareness and seek the imposition of structural reforms in football.
Hundreds gathered at Obra Spot at the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange and are marching to the Ghana Football Association headquarters and Parliament to submit the petition.

Speaking on the AM show, Ablakwa shared the sentiments of football enthusiasts about the demonstration.
"I am in full support. I wanted to join them earlier but they said they will present a petition to Parliament so I will join the Speaker to receive the petition.
"Remember that I intercepted the document, the $8.5m budget [Black Stars AFCON budget]. If you see how much is going into football and yet we don't have even FIFA standard pitches, no sports policy, Ghana football is in a mess and we cannot accept this. I fully endorse the SaveGhanaFootball demonstration."
Ablakwa had clashed with the Sports Ministry and leaders governing football on the whopping $8.5m amount budgeted for the Black Stars at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The team exit the tournament, having picked up two points from a possible nine.
