President Nana Akufo-Addo has emphasised the government's deliberate efforts in ensuring the safety and security of the nation.
During his State of the Nation address on Tuesday, February 27, he stressed that Ghana's resilience against extremism, unlike neighbouring countries, is a result of meticulous planning.
Akufo-Addo highlighted the prioritisation of resources and welfare for the armed forces and security agencies to bolster their capabilities.
However, he cautioned against complacency regarding the country's territorial integrity, emphasising the necessity for continuous vigilance and strategic planning to safeguard Ghana's security.
“Our nation is safe and secure, but we can no longer take the territorial integrity of the country for granted.”
