Nigerian musician Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, recently shared a video of a conversation with the late actor John Okafor, affectionately known as Mr Ibu, before his passing.
Mr Ibu was captured back in a hospital bed after he was released from a healthcare facility in January.
In the video, the actor, battling ill health for months, expressed his gratitude for Rudeboy's unwavering support during his difficult times.
He said, "Rudeboy if you don’t make heaven, call me nama [meat]. You will go to heaven and we will sit in the presence of the angels and eat together."
Mr Ibu held the belief that whatever happens to him has been preordained by God and would gladly welcome it.
“Rudeboy, I don’t know where to begin. But everything happens exactly on God’s own time. When the time comes, it has come,” the veteran actor said.

Before his death, Mr Ibu had been unwell for months. He underwent multiple surgeries that saw his leg amputated.
The news of Nigerian actor, John Okafor's death has left many across West Africa sad.
"Rest well, sir," said actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie in her tribute. Law professor and former UN rapporteur Joy Ezeilo said the actor was a "beloved" figure who "brought laughter to many".
Nigeria's Culture Minister Hannatu Musawa described him as a household name who had made families smile throughout his career.
