Ghana’s Harry Stacey missed out on a medal in the final of the men’s 50m freestyle, finishing 5th with a time of 23.15 seconds.
Stacey, qualified ahead of teammate Abeku Jackson in the heats, and was hoping to add on to Ghana’s two medals in swimming so far.
However, his performance in the final just fell short of a medal.
Egypt’s Ali Khalafala won gold with a time of 22.02 seconds, ahead of South Africa’s Clayton Jimmie and Namibia’s Alexander Skinner.
Stacey was set to be part of Ghana’s men’s 4x 100m medley team, but they pulled out of the final due to some last minute issues.
