Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall musician, Ras Kuuku, has expressed his confidence in winning the Best Reggae Song and Artiste of the Year 2024 honours at the upcoming Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
In a recent interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, Ras Kuuku boldly stated, "I'm winning and nobody is winning" when asked about his chances of taking home the award.
This year's nomination list sees Ras Kuuku competing in the Best Reggae/Dancehall Song category with his hit single "Eyeball Remix" featuring Samini, as well as the Best Reggae/Dancehall Artist category alongside other notable musicians such as Epixode, Stonebwoy, and Samini.
Ras Kuuku emphasized his impact on the Reggae and Dancehall genre last year, referencing his performance at Puom Fest and tireless efforts to promote the genre nationwide.
"Who in the category has promoted Reggae more than me?" he questioned.
The Dancehall artist also warned the TGMA organizers, cautioning them against making a mistake by awarding an artist who is not a true representative of the Dancehall genre.
He stated that if he didn't win, it would be a disgrace to the Reggae genre, and he would also "disgrace the scheme" in response.
With his confidence and conviction, Ras Kuuku is certainly one to watch in the Reggae/Dancehall at this year's TGMA.
