The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Bole-Bamboi, Raphael Abolosom Kumah, has urged students in the Savannah Region to recognise the significant benefits of the government's Free Senior High School (Free SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes.
Speaking at the Students Representative Council (SRC) week celebration of Saint Anthony of Padua Senior High Technical School in Bamboi, he emphasised the importance of these programmes in developing quality human resources for the country.

"I encourage all parents and students to appreciate the long-term benefits of Free SHS and TVET. Knowledge is a lasting investment for individuals and the nation, brightening futures and fostering development," he said.
Highlighting technical education, Mr Kumah noted that the inclusion of TVET in the Free SHS programme aims to transform the industrial sector, boost manufacturing, and create jobs for the youth.

He stressed that these educational programmes will help Ghana bridge the development gap with other countries.
"With your commitment to your studies, our country will develop the quality human resources needed for further progress," he added.
During the event, outstanding students were awarded for their achievements, and Mr Kumah donated an unspecified amount of money to support the school.
