Two siblings, Shiraz-Deen Mohammed and Mahama Yakubu, are currently receiving medical care after sustaining gunshot wounds during a recent raid allegedly conducted by men in military uniform.
The siblings suffered injuries to their head and arms, respectively, and were immediately transported to the Bole Hospital in the Savannah Region for treatment.
Although no official statement has been released regarding the raid, residents speculate that the military presence was intended to expel individuals involved in illegal mining in the district.
However, JoyNews sources in Bole suggest that the raid may be connected to a series of recent incidents in the area, where 20 people were mysteriously killed with no arrests made.
Authorities suspect that the illegal miners might be linked to these killings, prompting the crackdown to drive them out of Bole.
