Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has expressed his excitement after he was officially announced as Leicester City's latest addition, joining permanently from Sporting CP.
The Foxes have splashed £14million to permanently acquire the services of Issahaku, who will sign a contract that will keep him at the King Power for another five years.
The pacy winger had a stellar campaign last season, helping Leicester to the Championship title which saw them gain promotion back to England's top-flight after just one year away.
Following the announcement, Issahaku marked the achievement of carrying Leicester back to the Premier League as one of the highlights of his career so far.
“For me, [to win promotion] was amazing,” the 20-year-old said.
“It felt so good and it was one of the best moments in my career. I feel so good and I just want to keep going.”
Issahaku also expressed his pride to be a Leicester player and his enthusiasm for what lies ahead for his career, pointing out that it was just the beginning of his new journey.
“I hope that this season goes well as well. Everyone at the Club was giving so much energy to the team and it felt so good. I feel so proud.”
“For me, I take it as the beginning. I’m just getting started.”
