The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that its campaign for the 2024 elections will commence on Saturday, July 27, in Tamale in the Northern Region.
The flagbearer, John Mahama, made this announcement during the ‘Get Fit and Ready Mahama Walk’ in Accra on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
Mr Mahama stated that the campaign will be a collective effort, uniting all party members and constituents behind a common goal.
"The campaign is for all of us. It is not just for Joshua Alabi, who is the campaign manager, or for your constituency and regional campaign task forces. It is for every one of you," he said.
He encouraged supporters to actively engage by wearing campaign T-shirts, sharing leaflets, and spreading the NDC's message from door to door.
“Any spare time you have, wear your T-shirts, we are going to send you leaflets and you go from house to house and distribute the leaflets to your neighbours and tell them the message of the NDC,” he said.
The flagbearer called on party agents and executives to remain alert during election day to avoid cheating and ensure a free and fair election throughout the electoral process.
“On that day, you are not just going to vote and go home. You will wait and protect the ballot box. I don’t want to call agents or executives and your lines are switched off,” he said.
