A Science and Technology Fair has been instituted for students in basic and senior high schools in the Western North Region to expand the transformative power of education.

“Our operations at Chirano and Bibiani are more than just mining activities – they represent our dedication to fostering sustainable development and creating opportunities for the youth in our communities. By investing in education, we invest in the future, ensuring that the next generation is equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to drive innovation and progress,” he said.
Mr. Asante Yamoah emphasised that by placing science and technology at the heart of the training of students, there can be significant progress in shaping lives and driving economic growth.\

“As you explore the various exhibits and engage in exciting experiments, I encourage you to think beyond the classroom. Consider how the principles you learn here can be applied to solve real-world challenges… Whether it's in healthcare, environmental sustainability, engineering, or information technology, your contributions can make a significant difference,” he emphasised.
