Franklin Cudjoe, President of IMANI Africa, has lauded the National Democratic Congress (NDC) manifesto, calling it "clear, relatable, humane, and universal."
Launched on Saturday, August 24, the manifesto details the party's vision for Ghana, including plans to eliminate specific taxes, investigate the 2020 election violence, and prevent political appointees from owning state assets.
In a Facebook post, Mr Cudjoe praised the NDC’s commitment to gender equality, noting their pledge to allocate 30% of public office positions to qualified women.
He also supported the party’s initiative to combat period poverty, which he believes will enhance the confidence and education of young girls.
Additionally, he endorsed the NDC’s proposal for a fiscal consolidation plan and an economic summit, describing it as “very sensible”.
However, Mr Cudjoe mentioned that his team will perform a more thorough analysis to assess the potential impact of the proposed 24-hour economy.
He underscored the importance of good governance, advocating for a shift from concentrating power and resources for personal gain to focusing on the needs of the people.
