Black Stars captain, Thomas Partey, has expressed his determination for Ghana to "go all out and show their quality" in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Ghana will face Angola on September 5, 2024, in their Group F opener at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The match marks the beginning of Ghana’s campaign for the 2025 AFCON with the aim for a 11th consecutive qualification for the continental event.
Partey emphasized the importance of starting strong against a tough the Palancas Negras.
“We have to go out and show our quality, our best, and then try to when, because all we need is to qualify," He spoke to SuperSports.
“If we don’t win, we are not going to qualify. I think it's going to be a very difficult game. They have a good team. I've not watched a lot of them but we've been playing against them.
"We know how difficult it is to play in Africa and we don't have to be, you know, favourites."
The game against Angola is scheduled for a 16:00 GMT kickoff.
