The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has been awarded an honorary doctorate degree by the University of Cape Coast (UCC) in recognition of his exceptional leadership and tireless efforts in promoting peace, unity, and development in Ghana.
The honorary degree was presented to the Asantehene by renowned businessman and Chancellor of UCC, Sir Sam Jonah, during a special ceremony held on the university campus on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
The event was part of Otumfuo’s visit to Cape Coast, coinciding with the celebration of the Oguaa Fetu Afahye festival.
