The chief of Trede in the Atwima Kwanwoma district of the Ashanti Region has committed to sponsoring the education of young Moses Addai at the tertiary level.
The 16-year-old, who featured in JoyNews’ hotline documentary “Crushed Young” had one of his lower limbs amputated following a car crash.
The family of young Moses Addai was recently handed a fully furnished three-bedroom apartment at Trede, in a life changing encounter through the benevolence of JL Properties and listeners on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show.

Producer of the hotline documentary, Seth Kwame Boateng, led the family of Moses to the Trede palace to appreciate the support of the chief in the allocation of a parcel of land for the building project.
“We were touched by the plight of the boy and needed to get a befitting space in the township for the building to be constructed,” said Nana Nuben Sra III.
At the young age of 13, Moses Addai was knocked down by a speeding vehicle while returning from an errand which left his right leg amputated. He has already undergone eight surgeries and has two more to undergo.

Moses, poised to actualize his dream of becoming a pilot, is currently in his second year at senior high school.
Tredehene, Nana Nuben Sra III, says he will ensure the boy has a bright future by sponsoring him through education to achieve his dream.
“If I’ve managed to get a place for him to be accommodated, I also need to ensure that his education is well catered for. I will ensure he has a bright future," he said.
Moses appreciated the gesture of the chief and promised to make the most of the opportunity offered him.
