Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has reiterated his commitment to building a unified Ghana that offers equal opportunities for all if elected as President.
During a courtesy visit to the Chief of the Ashaiman Ewe Community and his elders on Tuesday as part of his campaign tour in the Ashaiman Constituency, Dr Bawumia stated his vision of a Ghana where every citizen, regardless of ethnicity or religion, has a fair chance to succeed.

“Building one Ghana with opportunities for all is my priority,” Dr. Bawumia stated.
“When I look at people, I don’t see their religion or their tribe. I see a human being like myself,” he added, reinforcing his message of unity and inclusiveness.
Dr Bawumia called on the Ewe community in Ashaiman and Ghanaians at large to rally behind him, promising that his leadership would focus on supporting the vulnerable and marginalised.

He highlighted his longstanding commitment to advocacy for disadvantaged groups, citing his role as patron of the Lepers Council of Ghana, and his work supporting sickle cell and kidney patients.
“I have always tried to lend a helping hand to those who are vulnerable in our society,” he said, underscoring his passion for social support initiatives.
The Vice President assured the Ashaiman community that their support would not be in vain.
He pledged that, under his leadership, their needs would be prioritised as part of his inclusive development agenda for all Ghanaians.

“I don’t take your support for granted. When you give me and the MP your trust, we will work tirelessly to meet your needs and ensure progress for Ashaiman,” Dr Bawumia promised.
His remarks resonated with his broader campaign message of fostering unity and providing opportunities for every Ghanaian, regardless of their background.
