Two armed robbers were shot and killed during a confrontation with police personnel on the Yeji-Kumasi highway on Tuesday, October 1.
The incident unfolded as law enforcement officers responded to reports of criminal activities in the area, leading to a violent exchange of gunfire between the suspects and the police.
In the chaos, one of the armed robbers managed to escape and is currently on the run.
Authorities have launched a manhunt to apprehend the fugitive, urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
Additionally, two other suspects involved in the robbery sustained serious gunshot wounds during the encounter.
They have been transported to the St. Mathias Catholic Hospital in Yeji, where they are receiving critical medical care for their injuries.
The police have intensified their efforts to restore safety and security in the region, emphasising their commitment to combating armed robbery and ensuring that those responsible for such crimes are brought to justice.
