Both Accra Lions and Berekum Chelsea's aim to get back to winning ways in the Ghana Premier League fell short after a draw in their matchday six meeting.
The two teams played out a 1-1 draw at the University of Ghana Stadium on Saturday, October 12.
Defensive discipline from the two teams meant the first half came to an end with no goals for either of them
However, both clubs scored just within two minutes apart as Ali Mohammed opened the scoring for the host while Stephen Amankona responded for Berekum Chelsea in the second half.
Mohammed powered the home side into the lead after 58 minutes but their celebrations were short-lived as Amankona found the equaliser after an hour on the clock.
Lions pressed for their second of the afternoon but troubled the visitors on just a few occasions.
In the dying embers of the game, Chelsea came close to breaking the hearts of the home fans but the Lions defence were up to the task as they held on to snatch a point.
