The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has started a 15-day campaign tour of the Ashanti Region to engage voters ahead of the December 7 election.
The tour is expected to take Dr. Bawumia to all 47 constituencies in the region, as he interacts with traditional leaders, market women, artisans, and other stakeholders.
According to his campaign team, Dr. Bawumia's tour will focus on the party's achievements in the region and plans for the future.
The Vice President will also use the opportunity to listen to the concerns of the people and gather feedback on how the party can better serve them if the NPP wins the upcoming election.
The first day of Dr. Bawumia's tour is expected to take him to three major constituencies.
He will also visit rural areas, where he will interact with farmers, fishermen, and other rural dwellers.
The NPP presidential candidate will be accompanied on the tour by a team of party officials, including the Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, and Members of Parliament.
